Meatball pizza is pizza prepared with meatballs. Meatball pizza has become increasingly popular in the United States in contemporary times, and some pizzerias offer them on their menus. Some restaurants offer them as a specialty pizza.

Pictou County Pizza

Pictou County Pizza is a regional variant of pizza found in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. The style of pizza is unique, owing to its "brown sauce" and Halifax-made pepperoni. The pizza can be shipped frozen across Canada via an arrangement between a local pizza shop and the local UPS agent. The most common destination being Fort McMurray, Alberta with a two-day delivery time. Since 2014 an annual competition between pizza makers in Pictou County has been held, with awards being given under a People's Choice category and as selected by a panel of judges.

Pizza pugliese

Pizza pugliese [ˈpittsa puʎˈʎeːze] is a style of pizza in Italian cuisine prepared with tomato, onion, and mozzarella.


Variations exist, in which different cheeses and ingredients may be added. Some versions may also use oregano, olives and capers as ingredients, and some may omit the use of pizza sauce and substitute half of the mozzarella with Provolone cheese that is sliced or grated. Some versions may use pecorino cheese.

Stromboli (food)

Stromboli is a type of turnover filled with various cheeses (typically mozzarella) and Italian meats (such as salami, capicola and bresaola) or vegetables. The dough traditionally used is Italian bread dough.

It should be noted that neither the word nor the preparation is used in Italy, where the only pizza-derived turnover is the calzone.

Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

Lou Malnati's Pizzeria is an American Chicago-style pizza restaurant chain headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois. It was founded by the son of Rudy Malnati, who was instrumental in developing the recipe for Chicago-style pizza, and it has become one of the Chicago area's best-known local lines of pizza restaurants. Lou Malnati's operates a division of its company called Lou Malnati's presents Tastes of Chicago, a partnership with Portillo's Restaurants and Eli's Cheesecake, which ships Chicago-style cuisine nationally.

Carne pizzaiola

Carne pizzaiola or carne alla pizzaiola (roughly translated as "meat in pizza style"), sometimes referred to just as pizzaiola, is a dish derived from the Neapolitan tradition that features meat (often less expensive cuts of beef) cooked with peppers, tomatoes and olive oil, long enough to tenderize the meat. Most versions also include capers, garlic, tomato paste, oregano and basil.
